Marathon Woman Book Review

I finished the book about Kathrine Switzer's journey to revolutionize women's running and it was absolutely AMAZING and seriously a must read!

This book has to be one of my top-ten favorites of all-time. It was incredibly inspiring and oozed girl-power the entire read! I really love any novels that are geared-towards sports, womens rights,  non-fiction, and/or historical events and this one had all three.

I really loved how Kathrine was able to tie-in what brought her to running the Boston Marathon with a bib and then how she excelled in her career after graduating from Syracuse (a fellow Orange Alumni!). She is an extremely amazing individual and really honest throughout the book. She describes her past relationships with such honesty and it is very easy to relate to her story (especially being a fellow twenty-something like she was in the book)- she also describes how she broke the 3:00 hour mark in the marathon (which is seriously INCREDIBLE).

It's been awhile since I've read a book that I really looked forward to reading and had a hard time falling asleep at night because it was so good- this one seriously takes the cake.

You can purchase the book here

I'd love to hear if you've read the book or if you have any other suggestions for good reads!

I've heard that Shoe Dawg is also a really good read about how Nike was born and that is next on my list.
